aceleration probs C200

Hi all
Have had an on going fault with my C200 Elegance Auto its a 1998 model,The problem is at its worst when cold on starting for some reason I have to give it a little bit of revs for it to catch it starts runs very uneven and when put in drive pulls away but wont change up for the first 3 or 4 minutes once warmed up changes ok another problem with it comes when i take my foot off and put it back down it wont increase revs and creeps around at about 20 25 miles mph and doesnt seem to want to rev up then all of sudden picks up?
I have been told by previous owner that he had gearbox oil changed by a garage so dont think it is this ? I checked gearbox oil seems on level and clean.
If anyone can help would be very gratefull rather than going down the rout of spending money on parts that I may not need !

First thing I would is get it to an Indians get it plugged into a STAR machine , will tell you what is wrong and save you money.

Better than just changing bits with guesswork

This sounds like a typical air mass sensor problem.

You wouldn't happen to know the part number for it ? It's the W202 I had a feeling that it might be air related thx for your help

You don't need a part number. Just call Euro car parts with your reg and they will look it up for you.

Before you do buy one. Get it diagnosed first.

UPDATE - Mass flow sensor bought a Bosch one fitted it cured the problem
