E220d 4matic 2018
Hi all, I have a 2018 e220d 4matic, got the usual nox sensor fault and went for a adblue delete and stage 1 map, the car then stopped regenerating the dpf, so got them back to remove stage 1 off it and keep the adblue delete on as I have seen someone else with the same car with same problems as me and that sorted it for them…. Not for me though.
Is there been an adblue delete update for these engines as I believe the regen thing is a popular problem? and is there a full level of soot % where it will just stop trying to regen?

Thanks..

Can't answer the question you asked, but adblue delete is not legal for road use in the UK.

I would gut the dpf also and with doing you have to put the remap back on but I would only use someone who knows what they are doing.. custom map and not generic is what's required by a reputable company..

The dpf gut is maybe what’s next if I keep it, but I’m swaying with just punting it to be fair

Reputable company..........

DPF and Adblue delete.....

Can anyone else spot the irony? 🤔

Haha just like when Boris said "you must stay at home" but then was hosting covid bunga bunga parties on a regular!

If you like the car then gut it and you'll have a fine motor for many years..

It's all down to the ad blue solution applied . New maps have been written since this problem arose. Look elsewhere 👍

You're got your right-wing European leaders all mixed up. "Bunga Bunga" was Berlusconi, the one with the "niece" of the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Boris is the one with the pint.

You know Kam won't let the truth get in the way of a government slagging!

Do reputable companies do illegal work like this?

Edit: I now see that this anomaly has been noted already.

I've never really understood how they pass the NOx emission level test in an MOT without a working adblue system. AFAIK the only check is that all the lights on the cluster go on with ignition then turn off after starting.

No MOT for you then! It will be obvious when they tap it and it won't pass the visible smoke part of the test. £1000 fine too.

That's very worst case scenario.. we all know most drivers haven't had a problem come mot time.. there's always a way around these types of things and it always helps when your friendly with a couple of mot testers 😉 😜

True. And the same can be said also for Russian Roulette...

BTW, don't forget that modifications need to be declared to your insurer. Illegally modifying your car often has a domino effect. The car becomes unroadworthy and has undeclared modifications, each of these on its own are sufficient for the insurer to invalidate your motor insurance policy, which in turn means that you've committed the criminal offence of driving whilst uninsured... all in a 'worst case' scenario, obviously.

At least with Russian Roulette it’s only the perpetrator who is at risk. Removing components designed to reduce the emission of pollutants puts the lives of innocent bystanders at risk.
