Adblue delete

And you probably never will, people generally don't like to admit their mistakes....
Maybe , but i think we would have heard if cars were failing MOT’s en masse we would have heard that .
Also companies doing the “delete” work to the cars would be complained about on here if the cars then failed MOT’s weeks or months later .
So I’m still thinking that cars are passing MOT’s without issue .

Almost 1.3 million vehicles failed MOT tests in 2020 because of faults relating to exhaust emissions.

Diesel cars saw the greatest surge in failures due to emissions, with a huge rise of 240% compared to just 37% for petrol cars.......I bet a lot of those were for the reasons above.....no DPF etc.

I don't have recent figures....but in the first few years (2014 to 2018) of DPF roadside checks over 3000 were caught and fined between £1000 and £2500.

Not true....The MOT test centre down the road fail cars with no DPF or cat all the time.
Its too much of a risk not to. The ministry send in cars under fake names all the time with faults to check them out. Pass a car that should have failed and they could lose their licence,...and since hes MOTs only that would be bad news!! I think you would need to be on first name terms with the tester for them to risk it now days. You will always get some that will pass any old crap though......up to them.
EGR and adblue deletes cant be tested for if its just been mapped out....so you are OK there.
At the end of the day this kit is fitted to cars for a reason.....BECAUSE ITS THE LAW......so if you get caught without it and get the £1000 fine or they void your insurance after a crash then I have no sympathy for you.

I hear you and know your experience.
(just to be clear I don’t have a car with a dpf/adblue…, my 2009 E320cdi is too old so you don’t need any sympathy for me personally)

Absolutely, then adblue tank/sensor, Nox sensors arise all amounting to £1k each . But as we know most people don’t know anything about cars , so they have been hoodwinked by the dealers selling them costly and unsuitable vehicles .
Thats why they resort to cheaper fixes ?
Neglect all maintenance for ultimate cheapness - and see how that plays out.

Those doing the delete work have a preferred MOT station they refer their customers to. The sooner VOSA come down hard on this corruption the better. Naïve to think that emission kit delete is all they'll overlook.

Ditto . My mate who has a fairly big garage and a VERY busy MOT side tells his guys to fail everything that ...err..fails . Take no prisoners , life is too short etc . If the customer doesnt like it he or she she can go elswhere ( good luck with that if it has failed on a 'major safety' ) .When he was a much smaller operator he would try to squeeze cars through emissions by taking them out for an 'Italian tune up' , he might even cancel a 'non' safety EML for his best mates. But no more , same with fitting customer supplied parts , not a great fan , especially brake parts, again , unless it's good mate who has taken the time to source difficult to find OEM bits.

One reason he states is the amount of counterfiet parts out there , he could , for example, use up 5 hrs to fit a customer supplied part only to have it fail a few days later. Doing well enough not to need the aggro.

An answer to either question would be OK.
My understanding from the above is that the adblue delete isn’t detectable under the MOT test.

You still never hear on the forums that “my car with no dpf or with an adblue delete “ has failed an MOT test .
I think until that happens people will go for the cheapest option to keep their expensive cars on the road .
Here’s one example of an MOT failure being reported after a DPF removal. Took me several seconds to find it.

Good job buddy, I had never looked .

JonInteresting. Wonder if they'll add this at some point in the future ...
MOT testers are now checking welds on dpf's if they look tampered with a MOT will be refused,a ticket raised and the car legally undrivable until fixed. Vosa also now have a mobile 4 poster lift and are setting up drive in testing, so people need to be aware of this , especially these young bell ends with over the top remapped diesels ,spewing out black smoke for fun. You will be caught out soon enough.

Not smart enough to use the correct to,two or too though.
Bloke I knew when I was a kid still can't read or write very well.
Didn't stop him becoming a Millionaire though!
Private Plates and then Private Nursing Homes, just before they were really popular.
Spelling Monitors and Grammar Police are a bit naff these days!
