Adblue delete

But as we know most people don’t know anything about cars , so they have been hoodwinked by the dealers selling them costly and unsuitable vehicles .
Thats why they resort to cheaper fixes ?

Unfortunately with vans you have no choice other than Euro 6 diesel or EV.

All part of the National Dumbing Down Movement.
He pays an awful amount of Tax into the central coffers!
Lots of folk with degree education, work in shops, Pubs, or don't work at all.
Nothing 'Dumb' about him, he had an awful upbringing and climbed out of it.
Salt of the Earth really!

It was nor aimed at him, rather at your final comment "Spelling Monitors and Grammar Police are a bit naff these days!".

Just a thought - what do owners who deleted the AdBlue, deleted the EGR, and gutted the PDF, do come sale time? Presumably they just keep shtum about what they've done to the car?

Erm, theres a huge market of people who search and buy cars like that. There really would be no issue in selling such a car. Legal or not.. Its what some people want.

Same as cars with Massive turbos, wings halfords body kits. etc there is a market for them. there always will be.

My point is that as a buyer, you are unlikely to buy a car with wings and a Halfords body kit inadvertently... but you could end up with a car that isn't road legal without knowing.

Loads of diesel cars out there now that's been in a remappers bay . I'd say more than what hasn't tbh.

Yep we had an Audi A4 TDi that seemed suspiciously quick ... on older cars I guess the insurer would have to give you the benefit of the doubt if there was no evidence that you'd had a remap done yourself.

Why should they? Isn’t it the owner’s responsibility to ensure that their car is roadworthy?

No it's not. Insurance companies cannot hold you reponsible for answering a question wrongly if you are not expected to know the correct answer, it's now the law.

They would be mad not to keep shtum. After all who wants to buy a car here the can not leagally be insured to drive on roads in the UK ?

AdBlue never needs topping up and car never does DPF re-gen and the owner doesn't know that these have been deleted?

Agree 100% about the Adblue, but in over 16 years I've never noticed our Vito do a DPF re-gen so depending on the usage (we do a lot of motorway runs in it and very little town/local driving) this might not be obvious.

It would be kinda obvious...

...as would the dirty tail pipes with DPF deletion.
There are clues for those interested and perhaps if insurers asked specific questions of that nature, denial would be implausible.
