Hi to all. Can anyone tell me where i can find the remote wire on the main radio loom to power up the amplifier, as I cannot seem to find it anywhere. I am fitting an amp and two 12 inch subwoofers in the boot. Thanks to all, Danny.

You will have a remote turn on wire (usually blue) on the aftermarket headunit's loom.

Hi thanks, I do have a blue wire, but don't know what colour wire 2 connect it to in the car's main loom, as i have a live, an acc, an earth and a blue and white wire. I have connected the blue wire to the blue and white wire, as this wire normally is the remote wire. But, it does not power up the amp when the head unit is switched on. That is why I am not sure whether this is the remote wire. Thank you, Danny

Are you using an aftermerket headunit or not? If yes then the aftermarket headunits loom will have a seperate blue wire that is not connected to anything on the other end. It does not connect to the cars loom. You connect your remote wire from the amp directly to that blue wire.

Hi i tried but no joy,i do not know why, thanx again Danny

post a pick of your wiring loom as it seems your trying to use a wire off the main loom from the car.

you need to be sure to use the wire from the universal iso connector that came with the aftermarket unit.

If your car is a pre 2009 model year then the wire to use is in pin 13 of the main quadlock. If the car is post 2009 then its pin 7 of the white microphone connector in the quadlock. When you say remote wire, I assume you mean a simple trigger feed to get the amp to wake up.

Hi yes its just a wake up for the amp,any idea what color the wire is my car is a 2002 model.thank you Danny.

Okay, in that case none of what I posted before applies as your car is a 2002.

All you need to find is the electric aerial feed. That'll do it for you.

thanx very much,Danny
