AGW Location?

Hi all,

I am looking to install an upgraded amplifier to improve audio sound but I cannot find the factory fitted amplifier. The car is fitted with the NTG 2.5 Comand APS. I was lead to believe that it is behind the SAM unit in the rear left compartment behind the wheel arch. There is nothing in there at all other than the SAM unit. Please could someone help with this?

It is, right inwards behind the SAM between the WING and the inner skin of the car.

You can see the Orange fibre Optics going to it.

Depends on the options. AGW is integrated to the NTG2.5 head unit. A separate amplifier in the trunk exists only with the Sound System (810) option.

Thanks for your reply guys. Merc 85, there is absolutely nothing behind the SAM, so it makes sense what Diesel Benz is saying. I'm not clued up about audio systems but I will have a look at the link, Whitenemesis, thanks. Please can you offer some advice about how I would incorporate an external amp with this system?

Personally I would pass this to a reputable auto electrician.
Even better I would take the car to Comand.co.uk. Bit of a drive to Lightwater but you won't find better ...

Yes would seem he is completely correct, Apologies buddy my car wasn't new enough to have a ntg2.5 i didnt relise they were different.
