Air con panel lighting

Hi everyone.......Have an E320 V6 avantgarde (210) estate (2000) and have noticed that the air con control panel back lighting has stopped working.... any suggestions? everything else lighting-wise is fine...
plus...I have a factory fitted Bose system and am about to upgrade the speakers but cannot find any info on how the system is set up.... I know there is a sub and an amp hidden (haven't found them but know they are nestled in the rear) but are there crossovers for the sub and tweeters? if so are they located in the same place...any and all suggestions help and advice gratefully received......
