Aircon compressor not working

Hi guys, new to the forum and love my c220 already! Only problem I'm having is a not working Aircon system,

The compressor turns constantly when the engine is running, the led inside the 'Aircon off' switch works as it should but I can't hear the compressor clicking when the switch is operated. I have pressed the charge port valves and both have pressure behind them. I have put a voltmeter to earth and onto the single wire connector that joins on top of the compressor and have no voltage. All fuses are ok but I'm unsure if there is a relay or something simple that I'm missing,

Has anybody had a similar symptom and could point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance :thumb:

There is a pressure switch which will prevent the compressor working if the AC system is low on gas which is there to prevent the compressor getting damaged. It's usually in the same area as the drier tank. If you're positive there is enough gas in the system you could try unplugging the cable and bridging the connectors which should then engage the clutch on the compressor and start it working. Providing the AC is switched on of course.

If it were me, I'd get the system vacuumed and regassed first (with dye added) as that is the mostly cause of the compressor not clicking on.
