S211 Airmatic problem..

Not had the chance today, likewise the weather took a turn for worse 🤷

OP, I had a look at my front engine fuse box. There is an orange fuse rated at 40AMPs.

Would you be able to check that fuse, it's the largest drawing current and bright orange colour. According to the video, it's labelled as electric air pump.

Thank you once again. That was the first fuse I checked thinking Ahhah…
checked all these too and all good. You were right though, in the drivers footwell.
I am going to put it all back and see what happens, have put a new piston in the compressor, found nothing wrong, nothing looking damaged but as the sun is shining…

Well, by way of an update, the pump runs when asked the front rises when asked to “raise” and so far has stayed up. The pump sounds quiet.

as for the rear, nowt, still on its stops..so getting somewhere. Can only be the front valve block not doing as it is told or the rear sensor giving duff info. It does giving changing info though.
swapping airlines will be next to see if I can get the back to rise. Thank you..

Thankfully there is 1 levelling sensor to the rear, its plastic. Worth visually checking that in case it's broken. I don't think there is a way of testing the actual sensor so I reckon if it looks intact, just move onto the block. The fact that the compressor has fired up, it does seem to suggest a possible problem with the block, maybe a stuck valve?

Getting warmer and I think you'll be an air suspension expert very soon 🙂👍

Happy with my new knowledge so far. going to get my local garage to put it on their ramp to look at that rear sensor and arm and take it from there. Still raised at the front so will see how it is in the morning.

Might even get to Brooklands on the 6th but need to get this fixed before booking it up.

Well hats off for having a very good attempt and i think you probably would have fixed it 🙂

Let me know if your attending on the 6th at Brooklands, will need your reg and name so can add to the list. 👍

Thank you, I shall let you know about Brooklands.

I don’t like to be defeated but my days of working under cars held by axle stands are over..

By way of an update…. replaced the rear sensor with one from the MB parts counter and all seems to be working now. The arm and bracket were fine.
Just need to put it back together and clean and wax oil the inner arch whilst there.

Thank you for your help…
