Allianz AG and Nuerburgring Motorsport now offer insurance for private drivers

The debate on other forums seems to be whether this actually gives you the third party liability cover that most UK cars with UK insurers will not have at the Nurburgring. This being the cover you must legally have of course.

Seems reasonable for £99. I know a guy who stacked a (rented) race prepared BMW E30 at the ring and walked away some £8K lighter. That policy might not have covered him totally, but may have taken the sting out of it..

Cheers,

Gaz

This is the question though - loss of your car might be what springs first to mind. However it's the potential third party liability that should really scare you. If it doesn't cover you there, it's not such a useful policy.

The policy may cover this, but it isn't mentioned http://www.nurburgmotorsport.com/Insurance.html and this is the discussion I see elsewhere on the topic.

Is that 3rd party for insurance against other drivers or for against the circuit owners?
