at 38 the offset is only spot on for a 6.5" or 7" rim (ie the standard fitting). as soon as the wheel gets wider, the offset needs to decrease to keep the outer edge of the wheel under the arches.
If they are an 8 inch rim (which is what I suspect) my guess is that they would not fit - they will foul the arches at the front and the shock absorbers at the rear.
Without the rim width I can't be sure but I wouldn't buy them.
Malcolm, I'm interested how you could offer that advice without knowing the rim size especially as you seem to be contradicting yourself from earlier in the thread.
My advice - if you can't try them before you pay for them then don't buy them
Words of Wisdom, A_K, thus my reluctance to bid for item. Shame the seller is way up North otherwise I would have taken car to try out the wheel fitting prior to purchase! Well 'mission wheels' continues........

That would be real nice of you, Ian. Seller lives in Keighley, West Yorkshire - is this easily accessible to you? Let me know and I will request contact details from him.

That is a rather long journey! Would have been OK for you if location had been much closer to you. No sweat but thanks a lot for the kind gesture, Ian. Until someone confirms that these will fit OK with no adverse 'rub-a-dub-dub', I think I will give these a miss this time and look for tried n tested fitment.
