I'm too nervous to drive my W124 -- the steering creaks and while the shocks and mounts were replaced on Wednesday a few of you have said it may be ball joints so I don't want to risk it.
However we are due at the mother in laws in Kent and my brother's car is in the drive. My question is is my classic car insurance policy likely to provide third party insurance on my brother's car?
I've read my documents and one bit says "If the wording of this certificate includes the driving of another vehicle cover in respect of such vehicle is third party risks only"
Another bit says
"Where the driving other vehicles extension is shown under Section 5 of this certificate of insurance......"
and section five merely says
"5 persons or classes of persons entitled to drive.
The policy holder and his/her husband or wife only"
My reading of this is that I am probably NOT covered, but I'd appreciate if any one has a section five which specifically says they are covered to drive other vehicles.
I have, of course, my brother's permission to use the car -- a rather choice BMW Alpina
