I'm thinking about changing my motor soon just for a change and for most of the time the BMW 3 series, 5 series, Merc CLK, Audi A6 has been on the shortlist. For some really strange reason I quite like the S-Type Jaguar. When I told people at work everyone laughed and said it's an old man's car. Am I going potty ?

I thought it was a Ford engine but used in some Peugeot's? (And the RR Sport if I recall?!)

Passenger car engines are PSA, Van engines are Ford.

Not really.

It's made at Dagenham, but it's a true collaboration engine. it was recognised that PSA have unrivalled experience in building smoth diesel engines so their designs were used for cars.

IIRC, the dagenham plant is Fords Worldwide diesel plant and produces more engines than any other plant.

Sat behind one today, ugliest exhaust system I've seen yet. Like 2 ship funnels bent towards the road.

dont do it with a j##### why dont you think about a S class in the same price bracket may be a couple of years older but BETTER ALL ROUND regards Jon
