I'm thinking about changing my motor soon just for a change and for most of the time the BMW 3 series, 5 series, Merc CLK, Audi A6 has been on the shortlist. For some really strange reason I quite like the S-Type Jaguar. When I told people at work everyone laughed and said it's an old man's car. Am I going potty ?

No, not potty...just sufferring a bit of senile dementia..

it's not a car that turns anyone on and also isn't too reliable..

Mad- Only if you are under 60 and don't own a flat cap!

No!

Don't do it. Nowhere near as nice, unreliable, and a very staid image.

If you're thinking new I'm told that the last S Classes came off the line and were all sold in Nov 2007.

An S-type R would be just about credible in my opinion, based upon performance per pound.

Passenger car engines are PSA, Van engines are Ford.
