Now, if you wanted to keep it pristine for future generations to admire then fine but I think there will be plenty of examples already cocooned in air-conditioned garages.

Nothing wrong in keeping it clean though. I have been known to clean my car (a very lowly oil burner) in the morning and again in the evening. The big difference is I have driven it 112k miles since buying it and intend to keep it until the grim reaper takes my licence away.

Get out there and drive it and enjoy a great car!!!

What ever makes you happy. I've got two classic dirt bikes that are garage queens, my wife doesn't get it at all. If I had more space there'd be a car in there with them too only seeing sunny days.
