Ambient Lighting

Hi All,

On my C63, on the instrument cluster I can turn the ambient lighting on or off, but this seems to do nothing. What does this control?

In my E55 it is the interior lights which operate when the headlamps are on. They're not overly bright, so you might want to check in the dark.

You might find they only work in the dark, have a look at your interior light clusters when its dark, on my CLS there is a low level light around its surround, this I believe is part of the ambient light system.

In my E they're on the doors under the top part of the trim. Is it just "on or off" or can you choose between levels of brightness?
