Guys,

LOoking for a set of the 3 piece AMG's originally off a R129. Anyone got any leads?

Thanks

At the moment there's a couple of sets currently sub 1500 on there, the rest are more like 3000EUR or more.

They're no good for your 124 without some serious arch work

As for the price,a lovely set went on eBay lately below £800

Yeah, I saw them. Was tempted but have other jobs to do first.

thanks gents.

Billy - yes. Picked up a set, they;re a bit too clean and in chrome:(...rather than changing the centre and all that malarkey I have sold them on. Looking to source another set now.

Jay - will have a look mate, last set were from lithuania!

Dash - depends how low you go i think...with the right stretch, mine were ok. But definitely in certain circumstances

-If anyone see's any specific examples let me know!

Dee:I take it that work was changing the offset as without they'll stick out to much

My mates got a set on his white W124 convertible, with no arch work, so can be done....But was assured by him there was alot of messing around.

love that car!

Yeah, Jas has achieved it. His motor is sweet!

So...anyone with any links? Would have kept the old set, but i got an offer I couldnt refuse..

Nice, but a bit too flashy for me...

Beyond the ones on das 'bay, no. Keeping an eye out myself as I will need a pair at some point for the SL project.

Is it just me or the front wheel on that car looks wrong?!!
I know is the camber but just looks wrong

Lots of negative camber, but thats just because its so low.... Small price to pay to get those wheels on that car at that height.

that car needs 500E wings! or flared arches at least.

Thats an idea :) , but the results of having those wheels on a narrow-body W124 make it spectacular in its own right, and beleive it or not the wheels dont rub on the arches at all even with 4 people in the car!....

Also, with a couple of hours work that car can go back to being stock.

in the flesh the cab does look good, i must say,

I still cant believe the wheels dont rub, ive seen it a couple of times now and i still dont get it! ive shoved a finger or two up the arches and its so tight.

What suspension setup has it got, im assuming it will be rock in order for it not to rub?

..must be the stretch on those tyres giving it the room it needs i suppose?

I dont quite know what the set up is, ride is firm, with proper euro looks. He's just had it repainted and theres no chance he'd risk his freshly painted arches getting ripped out unless it was proper..
