I saw a 16 plate amg c63s on the m27 today! Lovely car but can't help thinking that the w204 n/a c63 amg is such a better looking car over the new model! especially the rear end!!! The w204 sounds better,looks better! Maybe not quite as quick as minus two blowers,but the snap crackle and pop from the n/a v8! After a v5 eurocharged map,(awaiting remap)figures between 500/525bhp from the standard 457bhp,it's a drivers car!maybe not the track manors of the m3 but a great road car puts a smile on anyone's face! Compared to the e9x m3 and b7/b8 rs4 Bags of torque heaps of Bhp for everyday drive although you can have a quaife lsd for track work or loads of fun with shredding contis on a weekend!!

Certainly sounds better. I heard a couple being unloaded from a car transporter at the dealership and both me and the bodyshop manager commented that while it still has the AMG brutality, it sounds a bit more like it's all in the exhaust. A bit less V8 snarl you get from the NA.
The W204 is starting to look slightly dated though, and I do really like the W205. Although I'm not sure it's elegant, classy look really suits being a brute.
Unlimited budget, if I was to buy a C63, it'd be a facelift W204. If I was to buy a W205, it'd be a C350e.

I was not too sure about the new model but have to say it is growing on me and i think the coupe looks better than the 204

204 is nice - it's naturally a good looking car and almost classic because of the engine. The rear on the 205 saloon isn't as nice as the 204 but otherwise I think the design has evolved well. Compare interiors/seats/tech though and the 204 hasn't aged well.
Also agree the 205 is still AMG brutal sounding but it's more contrived than the 6.2.
The new coupe in 63 guise is going to be fantastic In the flesh I think.

I must confess that when the 205 was launched I wasn't keen on the looks. But now, every time I see one next to a 204 I realise that the 204 is looking dated.
The interior of the 205 is to die for (IMO). I know some people have a big problem with the iPad look but I think it looks great, something different. Who said all cars need to look the same anyway???
I know I'm in the minority here but I'd have the 205 everytime over the older 204.
The 204 is a fab car no doubt, but it's had its day. Time to move on.

I'd rather have a fully integrated screen ideally but I can say that once you are driving, you really don't notice the iPad thing - and it does not bother me at all - you just see a big hi-colour, hi-resolution screen that looks good.

This, even the non AMG 205 estate is a beautiful car - the technology in the C63s is staggering.
Saw my first 205 Coupe the other day - looked nice too, like a mini S Coupe.
