This is something to consider, I posted up on another forum but it applies here.
If driving your special car isn't and event then it's possibly the wrong car.
Today I had to pop out to see my accountant, which is always a pleasure, some days it's just great to drive slow and enjoy being in the car, today was one of those days, beaming sunshine, blue sky, French country roads at 50kph, it was wonderfully relaxing, I would go as far to say as rewarding as a B road blast without the adrenaline rush.
The longer I own this car the more I appreciate learn to appreciate what it returns.
I'm right in thinking it's not all about the power and acceleration or am I getting old
Anyone who doesn't have an AMG will always think it's not worth it and convince themselves that what they have is good enough.
Anyone who has an AMG knows it's worth it.
The sound, the acceleration, the overall feel, never getting trumped by some tool who decides to accelerate when you overtake, going to the continent and letting it off the leash a bit. All worth it.
In 1989, my Italian POS was, again, broken. I needed a car at short notice, so borrowed a friend's.
It was Citroen Visa 1.0L. I was wishing I'd taken National Express as the luxury option.
I was very wrong: it was an absolute hoot. Flat out, all the time. And it had those crazy indicators. I did the Victor Kiam thing and bought a Visa 1.4 GT.
That's funny I walk past the AMG every day and climb in the electric Zoe! I have a very short commute and the Merc is just too much drama for an early morning drive to work, much easier and less stress to take the milk float.

LOL I am the complete opposite. On the one or two days I need to get to London via the station, I see myself more and more walking passed my Smart ForTwo and jumping in the AMG at 5:45am just for the drama. But I guess that is because I do not like my neighbours much!
