I'm not sure if many people specced the 'AMG Performance Suspension' option on the post facelift C63, probably because the stiffer suspension found in the pre-FL PP C63 was widely criticized for being rock hard and too stiff for the UK.
I test drove a C63 for a weekend before purchasing mine, the demo car was a lovely fire opal red with PPP but without the uprated suspension. Having come from an E90 M3 previously, I found the demo C63 quite wallowy in the corners and generally didn't seem to handle as well as the M3.
So, I ended up ticking the AMG performance suspension box in the hope it would improve the handling and not be too unbearably stiff. Anyway I'm really glad I did because in my opinion makes the car much more on par with BMW M and although the ride can be 'nuggety' at times, I personally find it quite a compliant ride. I believe this is because as part of the facelift there were extensive improvements made to the suspension in general, with revised kinematics, new rear anti-roll bar, optimized spring and damper rates etc.
Anyway, I thought I'd post this to provide some balance to the prevailing opinion that C63 uprated suspension = unacceptably rock hard ride.
Has anyone else specced this on their post-FL C63? Would be good to hear your thoughts
