AMG petrol cap - cool but pricey!

Anyone try to fit this petrol cap on their classic AMG?
Must be one size fits all, both new and classic cars ?

Quite expensive for a cap?

There are two colors.

They do fit, but I wouldn't put one on a classic, it's the wrong logo design.

I fitted one to a W204 C63, dont think I would fit one to a classic mb though.

I've been looking at a few aftermarket fuel caps...Are all recent Mercedes fuel caps the same as a lots of the ads don't make it clear which models they fit.

I’ve fitted the AMG fuel cap to a few of mine, and they fit some but not all of my cars. I would say the same will be true for aftermarket equivalents too.

I like lots of shiny bits under my bonnet and on my suspension which I paint/plate/wrap.....cant see that either. I do it for me!

Definitely not needed, but they look and feel nice when refuelling. Just like a leather steering wheel or leather gear knob, a tactile finish rather than moulded plastic makes the same car feel nicer to the touch. They’re not for everyone, but they’re a nice touch for those who like the idea.

Just buy a cheap copy AMG badge off eBay and some glue and stick the badge on your existing cap and voilla! For that extra step some cheap silver rattle can spray on your cap first for that true "expensive" look.

Actually, you'd to get to look at it, feel it and use it more than some other shiny parts, it being a fuel filler cap and it being an AMG.....

Might put a smile on your face as you're pouring another £100 or so into the tank
