Got a nice suprise today. The AMG track day on the 14thApril, (was going to go but thought it was a bit pricy.)

I have been invited to attend for free this afternoon so am pleased, it was going to cost £400.

Just a thought though, has anybody else been contacted and offered the day for free? or is it a ruse to get people down there to sell new cars.

Do you have an AMG? When you buy an AMG you get a driving day included - which is not at all sales orientated - as everyone there already has one. If that's the event you're going on then you've got a great day ahead of you!!

Don't be shy to ask for the car(s) you want to drive when you first get there - if you don't, then someone else will.

Have fun...

PS I was invited on an off-road day expecting sales-pressure, but absolutely no mention. They said at the beginning "if you like the cars you see today, go and speak to your local dealer" or words to that effect. After that, no mention at all of sales.

I had an MB track day when I got Edna - was truly amazing. You are in for an amazing day. Not at all jealous!!!! - oh all right then - yes I am - very:rolleyes: Enjoy

I just had an invite to Mercedes Benz World at Brooklands and some free driving, Off Road, Skid Pan, etc. All because they were late delivering my new car :bannana:

Quite glad it was a few hours late really!!

I've heard nothing from my dealer.

Despite filling out several "survey" forms, the only thing I've been invited to in twelve month's of MB ownership was a fashion show..!!!

Maybe I should smarten myself up a bit when I call in to the showroom in future....

I have an E55 210 in silver.
It is the event at Donington Park, so I believe that you get some professional training and a trip around the track.

I am looking forward to it what ever the set up is.

Is it being arranged by a dealer then rather than DCUK?

Driving on the track at Donnigton would be good, doing it in an AMG would be better, but doing it is someone elses AMG would be better still!!

It was arranged through Mercedes UK.
