Is this a CLS thing, can't say I've had this before!

Firstly I've no idea how this got in and secondly, will I really have to take my light cluster out to get it removed? I can't think of any Hoover attachment that will get in there!

Think the last suggestion I saw, in a similar post, was to sellotape a straw to the end of the hoover.... Then acces via the bulb.

No flies on me :D

have you tried sending in a spider? etc etc

My W204 had 2 (dead) spiders in the N/S headlamp for months - about the only 2 things I disliked about the car.

How DO all these insects get in? I thought light clusters were normally pretty well sealed to stop water ingress :dk:

From the tone of the answers I will guess this is quite common?:D
Straw on a Hoover is where I'm heading. If not I will send in the spiders

I just done this very job I just removed the light cluster from the car and turned it upside down amd tapped the area the dead bugs were in and they fell out of the bulb holes

Surprising how often this happens. I currently have a dead spider in one of the rear lights on my 300zx and when we took apart the front lights to refurbish them and fit halos etc. there was a toasted fly in there.....strange.

They get in through the drain holes on the underside of the headlights. The rear lights must have similar.

A fly must have laid an egg during the light assembly :D
