Another high mile W211!

They do hold the mileage well - that's artico / cloth interior isn't it?

Possible ex mini-cab car ?

Notice how the front headlamps have fogged up just like on W210's.

Gurpz,

That may be due to the car being a pre facelift W211 as well, back then they weren't as clear as they are now.
But good observation.

The only difference im aware of with the lights is the 3 'slats' which are on the facelift version.

The mist-up could be ether condesation or scratches/stone-chips.

Thats what I figuired because even the pre facelift W211 light units are as clear as the facelift ones:

Well, the headlight glass is going to take a beating after that much mileage...

At the right price that might be interesting but it's overpriced for the mileage and it only has the standard seat material.

The headlights have probably just gone cloudy as the UV coating has worn off the polycarbonate.

bet it gets a haircut.....!!

Looks like it failed to meet the reserve. Could our car dealers possibly give a book price on this vehicle?

It should have teh bi-xenons and led rear lights (can't make out if it has)

Paintwork
That year\month does not officially have the nano top coating but I have heard of some September 2003 vehicles being lucky enough to have it. Official date for the paint on the 211 is January 2004 build date  :)

Nice to see that type of mileage (reassuring):)

MPG seems low?
Starting from cold?? I think the car has only travelled 2 miles at an average speed of 13 miles per hour so I would ignore that figure. I don't think the owner wasn't very smart posting that figure. ;)

This is all bad.

I have sold my car with the intention of not buying another, the money is in the bank ready to pay the loan off, and beasts like this are waving themselves in front of me...

I just keep thinking about how distinguished I would look behind the wheel :D

It has the xenons and Led's.

I can only find a book price to 200k miles and that is £10k good, £7.5k average.

I'd say it's worth about £6k-£7k. The seller ought o accept the highest bid, assuming it's genuine.

That car is way overpriced for the mile and spec - the engine bay certainly shows the mileage, especially the rubber seal round the front!

That car is worth 6k tops, E270CDi's don't normally hold their value as much as the 320cdi or the 220cdi - therefore if that bid of 7500 was genuine (i doubt it!) then the guy is silly not to have sold it.

As an example - 2 months ago when i p/ex'd my E240 (2.6-petrol) Avantgarde, Auto fully loaded inc leather, panaromic etc FMBSH - with only 39800 miles on the clock, I was being offered £8,800 - £10,000 for it. Got a good deal in the end - but thats the market!!

Petrol cars are really out of favour at the moment. They make excellent 2nd hand buys so long as your not big on covering miles, not too heavy with a right foot. Petrol costs less than diesel, so although the car is less economical, £ wise there isn't quite as much in it as you'd think. It seems odd that people would spend £5k more to save a £200/year but never mind...I am diesel fueled as I do 20k plus miles/year and will keep the car for a long time, so its premium will have paid for itself.

I had a look on MB of Glasgow AUC site, and virtually all the MB E classes were oil burners. My old boy is after a E and he is a die hard petrol car car and he must be talked into a diesel if he wants to keep his money, as he'll buy new or very nearly new.

My 3 year old 26k Miler 4.4i X5 was worth £16k. It was £53k new. A Diesel one whcih was £15k cheaper was worth £4k more.

the engine compartment really looked bad. how long do these car (engine/electronics) last? if someone bought it for lets say £6k will they be changing an engine anytime soon?? its ridiculous i think. but then i did buy a pug 406 with 136k miles before i got my c180. it was awful i had to keep fixing the junk every couple months.
