Another keyfob trick....

....for those with camera phones.
To check if the IR led is working, point the keyfob at the camera on the phone.
You should be able to see the led flashing.
This can also be used to test your TV remote. (No, I don't mean point your keyfob at the TV remote)

another key fob trick is that if you have the old style flip out key they can be very useful for scratching any just out of reach places.
