Another TE - no arguments please

A common problem is leaks via the rear fixed side windows and seller points out rust on both sides there.

Also if engine wiring loom has not been changed then it WILL need changing.

I wonder if self leveling suspension is working or siezed, as it looks high compared to front.

Those are in addition to stated locking problem and blower motor which may be £280 for complete unit not £40 as stated.

The car is an early pre-facelift HFM electronic engine. Most of these are in the facelift bodies.

I wouldent expect it to be much different on fuel to a 3ltr combined 35 at a push, 18-22 round town, due to its age and milage.

at moment good condition estates are pulling more than the saloons on ebay, anything upto 1k

the blower fans have a habit of burning the fuse out in the fusebox so it may well be a cheap fix. I'd agree, the rear end seems to be sitting a little high.

Overall, not bad and it could end up quite cheap

This is the elusive 280TE, not often seen in captivity. Its native habitat is the German Steppes where it is fleetingly seen at night on deserted Autobahns

Another one to tick off on my W124 timeline. I should shoot it and mount the radiator grille on the wall of my garage!

Looks like a very nice car for the money.

I followed a mint 320TE the other day (again, pre-facelift) - L-reg in silver, looked perfect - there's something nice about really clean older cars IMHO.

Will
