Any decent ironmogers should stock these bits, but I mean decent. You will need a bit for plastic unless it is wood! If there is metal underneath - be careful. The most important thing is bit speed. Too slow is better than too fast. With plastic a slow speed is essential or you will melt the material. I assume you are using a router and has removed the panel! You can try ordering on-line, but you must specify the material being cut. Have you looked at the cost of MB part with hole in? Hope this helps.

Steve K (aka MBenzNL) cut a hole in the (100% plastic) fascia of my car using a drill, powered by a workshop air-line! Some serious skill there! I have pics somewhere.

He was telling us about the time he drilled into his own thumb by mistake, and while telling us he did it again  .

The plastic faux-cf sport part costs about £30. The wooden one costs a lot more.

we can get HSS morse taper shanks if that what you mean, 16mm is 218mm overall,
also supply blacksmiths parallel shank bits stepped to fit a standard hand held 12.5mm chuck.

Have just got some 6mm file rasps in as well which are handy, drill hole through material and then cut freehand shape similar to a router.

happy to help out if any use.

I plan to mill the slot out with a pillar drill that has a X and Y axis moveable base, thats the plan if the right panel don't turn up

Using blood as a lubricant is slightly OTT. ;)

Almost any good tool merchant should carry slot drills - here's one near me, do a search on 'slot drill' -
