Anyone done retro fit AMG illuminated sills trims?

Yup. Factory ones tend to connect to the front SAM. Aftermarket ones tend to hook in differently. (but not always either way)

Sometimes Merc do an "aftermarket" kit using the factory door sills plus their own control module to make fitting easier. Not sure why as its quite simple to get to the front SAM ! (for instance W204 coupe)
