Due to the London-Surrey Cycle Olympic test event, the roads around my area (Richmond/Kingston) will be closed until mid-afternoon, so I won't be using the car, but will be taking the train to Lee station. Hope the trains on Sunday are reliable and frequent!

dont think it will john, get off at junc 3 on m25 then the A20 perhaps.

m25 will be better than cutting through town i should think unless you want a scenic route??

No it shouldn't (depends if you're coming in from the M40/M1/M11 - will probably need to swing round the other way round the North Circular), the cycle race starts at The Mall at Buckingham Palace, and heads through South West London, and through Surrey.

It may affect those travelling to Heathrow and Gatwick, though the M25, M3 and A3 should be unaffected, though certain junctions may be closed.
