Not me, but my dad is good friends with Ray Hatton and Ricky Hatton.
Anyone beat that!!!

Not me but my uncle is a very keen golfer. He was invited (via a golfing buddy) to play at a match one weekend as someone had dropped out. All payed for as a charity event so he turned up and had a great evening in a nice hotel somewhere.

Was told to report to the tee off at 8am. Next morning he went down and was told there had been a mix up and he had to partner with someone else at 8.30. He hung around and went to the first tee for 8.30 where he found out he had been partnered with....... Nigel Mansell..!!

So he a had a great round of golf, spent 6 hours with him and was given his personal mobile number. "whenever you fancy another round, give me a ring he said.." What a result.

Not strictly "good friends" but thought I'd share it anyway..:D

Did he ask him for any tips on growing a nice tache?? ;)

funnily enough my uncle has always a similar "follicle setup" to said Mr Mansell.. Both seem to want to be a kind of "Magnum" chap I guess...!

My next door neighbour up until Thursday.

During my band days, many musicians, some famous (like Sade!) and at the BBC club, loads of "pop stars" from the 80s. I famously had a drink with Teresa Bazzar from Dollar - anyone remember them??

My Dad used to know Roger Moore and a good mate of mine knows Carlos Santana and his sister sang with the Santana Band back in the Jonn McLaughlin days.

I once shared a jacuzzi with Robbie Williams, but I shall say no more.

My brother spent seven years in the same class at school with Michael O'Leary

Not famous as such, but my late Uncle, was the first writer of Doctor Who, he is credited with giving us the acronym TARDIS and deciding that a police box would be the shape. The rest is history (though not necessarily a happy one).

The same brother was given a room in a flat in Dublin for 2 weeks in the late 70s by Larry Mullen (U2). Coincidentally my brother also provided a property in Belfast for a new film coming out later this year about a guy who turned down the chance to be in U2.

My dad does a lot of the Jewelery for Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, He reasonably often goes to Kensington Palace to pick up and drop off whatever it is she wants doing next, she always deals directly with him and is a quite a character.

He also does Prince Charles's stuff, but deals with lackys of HRH.
