Was wondering if any one was local to a car dealership

Malcolm Clarke, 95 Langley park road, Sutton surrey.

They have a E63 wagon which I have put a deposit down on without seeing, the description and dealer sound honest but would great if someone could pass there eyes over the car.

Hi. I used to live a couple of hundred yards from that address and it's a residential road (quite nice at that end) definitely without any car garages. Hence it would seem that your dealer is working privately. You need to check if he's VAT registered etc.... In these circumstances I'd consider the price show be "private" not "dealer" since you only really have private purchase levels of comeback. It's not a reason not to buy the car but to be very aware instead.

Okay got more info, The dealer/trader rents showroom space in Suzuki and Chrysler garage in Epsom, and the e63 is In the showroom there.

Can anyone help out casting an eye over it

Yep it's in the Suzuki / Chrysler garage on the Longmead business park. However his description "All Usual Dealer Facilities" is not correct unless you are buying is from the Suzuki/Chrysler dealership. Not being factual in the advert to me rings warning bells. It's a bargain for a reason! Dodgy info I'm afraid.

I wouldn't say mad just not wise sometimes. Anyway if for any reason car is not as described dealer has offered deposit back and even the the deposit is not big enough to worry about.

If the mileage and service history is Ok then it might be a good purchase. However you have plenty of reasons to haggle and things to check (Merc for service history/HPI/MOTs). Take it for a quick spin up to Horton country park (the only local place with a relatively quiet road) and see how it goes!

Thanks, problem is I am in Glasgow hence why I am asking for anyone local that could go and have a look and drive

I have toyed with the idea of a S211 E63 for a while and I think this one along with a few other low milers on autotrader has been for sale for some months. Asking prices seem to have fallen from well over to well under 30k.

Just a factor to bear in mind in negotiations!

I could go and have a look/drive (I'm not sure what I could tell you about a E63 unless something electrical isn't working) but given the value of the car a quick flight to London has to worth it? I can pass you the detail of my usual taxi firm who could pick from the airport.

Oh absolutely I would be going down to London to pay and pick it up, and if I wasn't happy I would walk away. But what I need is someone to have a look over car check that it is as described as in in immaculate condition, have a look af the service book and v5 and any invoices or other paper work for the car. Don't need an in depth mechanical report as it will be going in for a service with a local Mercedes Benz dealership prior to sale and I will be asking to see the invoice and report from them once it has been serviced.
