I have been having problems with my pc recently which I have been unable to solve, so the last thing to change is the MB.

I'm not into gaming but would like a good, speedy pc for other activities, I would like to use my existing Intel 3.2 duo core processor & DDR 2 667 ram would like the option to use faster ram & more than my existing 2 ghb.

I live in the uk so would prefer to buy here I'm looking at these

ASUS P5K QUAD - DUO CORE 1333Mhz FSB Intel P35 - item no 310030791958
on ebay
or
ASUS P5K-E WIFI INTEL P35 CHIPSET MOTHERBOARD SOCKET775 item 110230355463 on e bay

Could any one advise or recommend if these are ok

ta Dave

I can't advise on the particular motherboards but I have been using an Asus Pundit P3 PH4 barebones system for about a year and a half now and it's been a fantastic, fast, quiet, stable system. It's socket 775 and has a Pentium 4 HT 3.6 processor installed, 1gig of DDR2 Ram.

There are a number of Asus P5K motherboards. I have the P5K Deluxe Wifi and it's marvellous. BUT it only takes DDR3 memory which is why I'm posting. If you want to make use of your existing memory make absolutely sure the MB you're buying uses DDR2.
