Anyone seen/know this E55k AMG?

Quite a trip for me to view so wondered if anyone had already seen it/opinions please.

Just my 2p's with (I might be nip-picking)

-Disks look very worn
-Large chunk out of both rear tyre sidewalls - need to budget a £500 or so for these)
-Seats very worn (look at the rear passenger side!)
-Only tints on the rear side windows, not the rear window itself
-Will the distronic sensor work when its been sprayed?


Also, arent E55K's meant to have the 200Mph speedo?

It's the first Tektite grey E55K I've ever seen other than mine - so I would agree with them being rare!

Looks like it is in pretty good condition overall and I would venture a well-cared for example from this distance.

Not keen on the aftermarket wheels and not sure the spoiler works on them but each to their own!

Quite worn rear NS seat strangely.

Has keyless entry, Distronic, HK but no panoramic roof.

Average mileage for an 04 plate.

Certainly worth a look.

At least I know what mine would look like with a black grill now!

My '03 55K has the 160 mph speedo. When I bought it last summer, Kwik Fit did two rear Michelin PS3s (265/35Y18), all-in, for under £340, with a Michelin special offer fuel voucher for £30 of fuel as well. The current price is some £163 each. Seats and steering wheel condition look not dissimilar to my 140K example, and I'm fairly sure the mileage is genuine on mine. . The MoT history should verify the mileage, as no doubt would the one previous owner if the vendor will give you his details.

I don't recognise the car, but that dark satanic mill used as the backdrop looks familiar. Googling the reg reveals that it was up for sale in Leicester in mid-Feb this year for £7500, so chummy probably got it for about £7000 or less.

The fact it has 20's on it would be enough to put me off, my CLS drove bloody awful on them, though you can get Falcon tyres for the rear for £150 a pop.
There does seem to be a big hole in the MBSH sheet he has put up, from 49,500 mile the next being 105,000 miles, might have some paper work from an Independant showing the missing services but I think I would ask about them before making the trip.
I actually like that car I don,t think it looks overly worn considering the mileage either.

Steering wheel does look worn but because the bodywork looks good it can't have had a hard life. To be fair, my monitor and the contrast with the strong sunshine today it didn't stand out that much. It is 11 years old.

I would expect some wear on the steering wheel at that mileage although I am still not sure on the wear on the rear seat as I pointed out earlier.

Perhaps the car has been dogging?

I would personally be throwing the wheels in the bin (or at least selling anything good left over) so the condition wasn't an issue for me but I would be looking to get that car for £6,500 maybe £7,000 accordingly.

Tired is a little harsh - maybe some mishaps which can be sorted out?

It could well be the previous owner looked after it well but the current owner is trying to make a quick buck and has not taken care of it.

That wear is very odd though. I used cleaner and conditioner on mine and they look like new apart from the driver side bolster which is a little creased.

Those deep dish 20's look terrible, don't suit the car at all.

Any car with 125k on will show signs of wear, never mind one where you have to hold on for dear life when you give it some hammer...

160mph speedo is normal on build 804 cars as is the mesh grill.

When I saw mine for sale, I assumed it was black.

Wasn't until I turned up that it blatantly wasn't!

As you can see from the pictures, it changes quite a lot depending on lighting and it does look black in some of those shots (on my monitor anyway).

I quite like that. Mileage is high for the asking price, though it does have a nice spec.
Those wheels are marmite. I quite like them? Shame about the damaged tyres /rims. Putting 20" rims on seems overkill to me especially those blingy chrome ones.
I think the wear is average for that mileage. Just not too well cared for leather.

No mention of servicing before Aug 2006 or 31k miles?
Its had some big repair/warranty bills too

I would look to offer around £7.2 - £7.5k max for that one.................. but I prefer mine

If you plan on keeping the car for a while. Then offer as above around the £7.5k mark and have some money left to address the minor issues.
If you are scratching an itch and will only have it a year or so look for a better example.
