So I've forgotten my password.

Go to 'Forgot my Password' and it sends you an email to reset it.

Enter new password, confirm, hit enter, and it goes...." Timed Out" :wallbash:

Try again and same thing...ad infinitum: even after an hours wait.

I'm lost. any ideas please?

Not sure that I can help but this has happened to me with my Apple ID on a couple of occasions. It seems 'iForgot' is pretty unreliable. In my experience it seems to be less likely not to work from a device running iOS rather than a browser, so if you're trying from a PC or Mac try using an iPod, iPad or phone instead.

Thanks.

This is my first venture into Crapple products. A secondhand but nearly NOS 3GS phone. Damn thing wont Bluetooth to the car either. First and last Apple device I ever buy.

Did you get this resolved - the password bit?

Regards Bluetooth if its a Merc then you need at least a Viseeo kit.

No, can't get it to work on the phone either which is the only i device I have.

The car has a Viseeo MB1 kit in it and has always been fine with every other device. Mrs Druk's Samsung bluetooths to it no problem and can also 'see' the 3GS.

But the icrap won't 'see' any other Bluetooth device. It is enabled and I've tried some of the solutions offered by Googling the problem; which seems to be widespread.

From experience, if you solely wait for your iPhone to pair with your Merc you will wait forever.

You need the bluetooth code displayed on your Merc's radio for entering into the iPhone to enable successful pairing.

Hmmmm. I have a Visee0 MB1 in my car and my 3GS and iphone 5 both work well. Strangely also finding an old Nokia kit (left in the car)

Have you tried holding the "home and power buttons" down until you see the Apple logo appear on the iphone. Do not touch it and let it re-start. That is a hard re-set.

Got me on both counts there.:( how would I get the code displayed and then, presuming I manage, how to enter it into the iPhone?

By 'home button' do you mean the one on the front with the square logo? Presume it will re-set without losing any of the stored data, contacts etc?

Shows how much iKnow about these things :fail

Home button is on the front, yes. Power is on the top.

This re-set will not lose any data.

You then to need to ensure that when you turn your Visee0 on you have the bluetooth pairing light flashing or ready to pair. Then turn on bluetooth on the iphone. Within a few seconds the iphone should find the Visee0 and ask you to enter your code 1234 is the default.

Sorted thanks :bannana: Hard re-set and did as you said ^.

Just need to sort out the password thingy now.
