Hi All
Read a lot of good stuff in the forums so decided to register and ask a (probably) easy question . OK - car is C220 Estate (2003) with standard Audio 10 head unit which I want to improve on. Can install Becker CD autochanger in glove box but limited usage from what I've read (no MP3). I've choosen to buy & fit a MusizVault (www.mptronix.com) rather than keg / Neo because I think the unit suits me better and will allow me to control the unit using existing Bluetooth Palm PDA (neat huh !).
Questions
1. MV has SPDIF output - is this compatible with Audio 10 fibre-in
1.5 If the answer to 1. is No, then what other way can I connect (apart from FM modulator) and if I get a choice, what should the preference be
2. Should I replace speakers and if so, any suggestions (no fixed budget but haven't won the lottery)
3. Should I change the head unit and if so, what's compatible with the steering wheel controls & doesn't look out of place (i.e. no flashy displays or garish colours)
Should point out as well that the car is a lease vehicle but I'm intending to purchase at end of lease so don't mind putting a few pennies into it. However, I can't make radical (or non-removable) changes just in case.
Thanks in advance and look forward to some useful advice.
