Audio 20 upgrade or alternative advice please

Hi everyone. This summer I purchased a E250 cabriolet, 2010 and fitted with the Audio 20 system. The system is familiar from my SLK a few years ago. However I really miss a built in satnav option. Can I upgrade the factory fitted system to have this option. I'd rather keep it factory looking, but to contradict that when googling I've found a u it that looks like it sitsinfront of the factory display. I know nothing about it, so im looking for advice and recommendations if you can.

I am assuming that your car is equipped with Audio20 NTG4 (the predecessor of NTG4.5). You can verify this by running the VIN in an online VIN decoder - look at the 5xx section.

If so, then the original navigation system was Navigation20:

That was true up to COMAND NTG3.

As of NTG4, MB started using the NTG nomenclature system for both COMAND and Audio20.

It shows the 'generation' of the system.

hi, my system is not comand as i don't get the start up message. Just want to me able to add car play or similar but every listing I see shows all being added to comand systems. My system is the the basic single disc headset with no plug ins in the glovebox only a headphone type jack in the central glovebox. Any advice?

What model and what year is your car? There are various options but they vary based on the car's (and infotainment system) model.

Your car has Audio20 NTG4.5. It does not have native support for Apple CarPlay.

However, you can add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via the installation of an external adapter.

Check out "Integrated Automotive" and look for an authorised installer near your.

There are also cheaper adapters that can be purchased from Amazon or eBay but I don't know how good they are.

Hi, really confused here. speaking to some upgrade people on the phone i have been told my system is ntg4.0.

You never said what model car you have.....? You just said it was a 2012 model.

By 2012, most MB cars already had the newer NTG4.5.

However, depending on the car model, it is possible that you still have the older NTG4.

So which model do you have?
