I have an early w202 (1993) no wires at all behind my mirror and no traffic lights.

Can I still fit an auto dimming RVM ???

Will any live feed do ie from courtesy light ???

Almost definitely yes, I think all the mirror needs is power! :)

Id better get one then !!!! Presume an ignition live is best as dont want it to be constantly powered.

Best place to get one ???

Yeah, I'm sure Simon did this on his by just using a power feed from somewhere convenient.

You've remembered well Simon. The mirror I got didn't have the correct plug connector for my cars dome light assembly.

Fuzzer suggested tapping into the glove box light which only becomes live once the ignition is on, thats what I did using one of those scotch clips. Nice and easy cable run up the windscreen pillar into the headlining, perfect.
