Auto Gearbox Fault

I'm with you, Merc 85; I've no idea why he has such a bee in his bonnet, either. As cars become more and more rolling boxes of electronics, which is what the market wants, they become less reliable. This applies to pretty much all makes (yes, even to VWs and Volvos as well), as surveys and ratings (JD Power and Which? are the ones I'm thinking of) show.

If reliability is the main criterion, buy a car from the Far East. That is what I am likely to do when increasingly expensive insurance costs with age force me out of a reasonably powerful car, but I don't expect to enjoy it as much as my various Mercedes, though. Premium brands have premium running costs.

Rotfl That impressive Sir, How long did it take to achieve that? lol

Anymore people who'd like to share the instrument cluster pic's on here??:D

That was cheating really:ban:. Photo taken after it was ticking over for a while after the emissions MOT test. I wonder how long it would have to run before it reached 0.0 MPG:dk:

If you buy any car without doing any research on the likely running costs, you are asking for trouble.
