So I have just got a Calcite White C220 Coupe and came to polish it for the first time last weekend. White polish on a white car makes it easy to miss!

I have been quite loyal to Autoglym, buying lots of their range. Should I just put up with it or is there a better option??

If you head over to detailingworld.co.uk they will tell you all sorts..

I'm pretty sure autogylm will be very good and you will get an awesome shine on it.

Its totally a personal option. After 3 years of testing, these (without a doubt) are the best products to use on white paint.

Werkstat Car Care & Detailing Products

Obviously IMHO

I have always been hooked on Meguiars products (available from Halfrauds) but have no experience using them on a white car.

Thanks

All (I think) polishes dry white so you're likely to have the same problem no matter what you use.
However, if you've already got Autoglym products try Super Resin Polish followed by Extra Gloss Protection and you should have a very good shine. I find that sealants give a better shine on light colours than wax.
Your other option would be to follow SRP with High Definition wax (think it's like a wax/sealant hybrid) or Dodo's Supernatural Hybrid. Try either of the combinations and you won't be disappointed with the shine or how long the protection lasts.

Was just reading on another thread about Collinite 476S, people are raving about it so might give that a go. Anyone know how you apply it?

Collinite is excellent at its pricepoint and one of the most durable waxes available. There is a new Autoglym Super resin polish that I would suggest you applied first (get some foam applicator pads) then buff that off and finish it off with a layer of 476s. Remember that Collinite is best applied thinly - putting loads of it on doesnt mean you get more protection - all it means is that you wont be able to remove it easily and that you will have wasted a lot of it!!

Any hard shell wax works on a white car as it's difficult to see any bits applied to thick and not buffed off well enough so leaving streaking.

Apply a thin layer with a foam applicator pad. Don't leave it too long (4,5 mins), then buff it off. A superb sealing wax that lasts ages and makes the car much easier to wash and keep looking white!
