Aux Port

Hi I have a 2005 C220 CDI.

I have read that there is an AUX port in the glove box, is this true?

I don't have command just an Audio 20 and would like to connect my IPOD.

Can someone confirm if there is an AUX port, exactly where is it located and can I just connect my IPOD?

I know that I wont be able to control via SW but don't really care at the moment, will probably get IPOD kit fitted by MB later in the new year.

Not available in post 03/04 c classes im afraid, the aux port was available in pre 03's the disscontinued for some silly reason, tragic.

You could try the dension ice link plus, replaces the cd changer in the glove box and uses the fibre optic cable.

Cost about £200 plus fitting

You may be able to get an aux-in fitted without having to remove the headunit. See these links for more info:

Note that the aux cable part number is A2035406107 in the US. In the UK and Europe it is A2104405005.

The AUX was always fitted in conjunction with COMAND from factory. All 2005 specification W203 and onwards are prewired for AUX. The missing link is the cable from the floor to the glovebox.

After already one year there is still so much myth about this car.

The AUX wiring was always available from 2000 till today for the w203. Whenever I install a COMAND unit I install the AUX option in a customer designated location or in the glove box.

I know that AUX can be added to any car.

Steve (MBENZNL) sells a special version of the SLK radio with AUX input so you can have iPOD with radio.

Thus almost anything is possible. Excludes all S, SL, CL.

Hi, I have just fitted an aux in port to my 05 model 203 (C230K). It is really simple, parts as per the instructions in this forum. part number is not the 203 part number listed though - when the stealer enters the details he gets info about a part number changed to:

MA210 440 50 05 N/STK 603842 / CABLE HARNES £15.25 + VAT

this info is from the sales invoice, took a couple of days to get the parts in, and about 15 minutes for me to fit.

Does your car have Audio 20 or comand. Because if you can get aux in on Audio 20 then my media player is getting wired in ASAP!

Audio 20 is only sold in conjunction with 2005 specification and onwards. So yes, your car is prewired.

Hi, sorry forgot to confirm that - yes my car has audio 20 - sadly the ipod packed up 2 days after the aux port was installed - but Tesco gave me a refund (mine was a 3 month old 20 gig - but they only had the new 30 / 60 gig units in)
