I have a CD storage thingy in my glove box (on the right hand side) is it possible that the jack is behind this?

Mine is left side near the top ex-factory.

C220cdi Nov 2005 with COMAND.

Works fine with my Nokia Communicator playing MP3 files.

installed mine tongiht . Isnt as good a fit as i expected .. will require tape of some sort to tighten the hole so it doesnt slip about.

but , as everybody described :)

Yes , Aux Imput active on the radio and Aux in the top right corner and active in the middle of the dash cluster.

Does anyone know for certain which models came with these ex-factory? In another thread, I asked if anyone knew what the jack was for in my glovebox. It appears to be factory fitted (either that, or someone did a very good job installing it). My car is a A208 Final Edition manufactured towards the end of December 02 and registered Jan 03. Just curious really.

It does mean, however, that I am now in the market for an iPOD. Off to Budapest on business this week, so will be scouring the Duty Free shops enroute... :)

From what ive read , cars with comand tended to ahve this done at the factory.

The jack socket fits into the hole then I think sort of snaps together making a snug fit. Mine was loose but the fitter fixed it. I can't be precise but it seemed trivial, just squeezing the socket together somehow.

Wahey!! I have one in my glovebox (2003 C32 with COMMAND)!! Would never have noticed if it wasn't for this thread!! :bannana:

Bought a 3.5mm jack-to-jack cable today and the IPOD works great through the glovebox aux-in socket. Only 99p!!

Bought a Nokia pop-port to 3.5mm adapter and playing MP3s from my phone works a treat too.

Does anyone know if there is an AUX port in a W220 (1999/00)? If so, where is it please?

Many thanks

No there isnt. The COMAND2.5 unit's tape deck uses the electronics that is used for the AUX ports on the COMAND2.0 unit.

Hi guy,

I tried to look for the plug without any luck, does anyone know if the 2002 w203 came with the AUX plug or not.

My car is fitted with the radio:

Audio 10 doesnt have an aux input.
