B Class Help Please

Hi

I'm hoping someone can please assist me.

I have a 2009 B Class 180 CDI. It is fitted with the Audio 20 system which is single CD, no changer. It has the AUX socket in the glove box.

I'm trying to work out which model this is, as I want to connect my iPhone to the system for music. However I don't seem to understand if I can just buy a replacemt cable and away I go or if I need the UMI kit.

To be honest this is all because the Aux socket is so quiet it's silly and my local dealer have told me there's nothing they can do except put in iPod integration.

I noted that command online have some options, but just can't work out what I need.

If someone could assist me I would be very grateful.

Google inphase bt mate
You should be able to get one for under £30.
Gives full bluetooth integration - music streaming and phone connectivity.
Also amplifies the signal so that you get a decent volume, and stops the traffic announcements barging in at too loud a volume cos you have it wound up too far so you can hear the music via a cable.

Edit: I wasn't being familiar. It is called the bt mate, mate ( I WAS being familiar there)

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I don't think this will solve the problem. The main issue is the aux input volume is so low normally it's just silly. MB won't entertain doing anything.

You have Audio-20 NTG 2.5. the ipod kit you need is this one;

It comes with the amplifier to boost the volume.

Its the only solution that will give you control from the steering wheel with tracks/artists/playlists etc all being displayed in the instrment cluster. The UCI (Media interface) can only be fitted if your audio-20 is the one which supports the built in 6 disk changer. this is also considerably more expensive.
