B class W246 NTG51 CarPlay activation in Engineering mode

Hi Folks,
I'm new to this forum. I was looking into the engineering mode of my B class 2015 W246 NTG51 to enable the car play option. I can switch them on, but they do not stay on when I come out of this option. I manage to activate the mirror link. Is there anything I'm missing? Is it locked and I need to get those Chinese dongles to unlock it? Or something else? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot, guys.

My pleasure on eBay its for £200 called MMB. Guy in West Yorkshire is selling it for £150 + £10 for next day delivery total £160. I'm over 300miles away from him so I done a bank transfer. His Instagram ID is 125coding.

What is the fix? Is it an OBDII dongle that overwrites the COMAND firmware with a custom modified version?

It's a USB dongle which goes in the carpaly USB. Works in every car out there that has carplay. Even cars like r8, e63s etc

Hello All,
I need help, I have installed Android screen in my Mercedes B180, W248 which has NTG 5.1 stereo,
I have connected all the hardware correctly and I checked again, it is about AUX, Auxillary,
I am not able to hear anything what is playing on the New Android screen, (I can play radio, cd and from usb memory stick and SD memory card) But I need to set the NGT5 system to AUX audio.

I have tried the commands to get into Engineering mode, but my endcall+1+# doesn’t show up anything and only other 2 commans works, endcall+7+9 and endcall+3+* and I get only the Radio Frequency and some other setting in 2 commands,

Can you help me to get to Engineering mode? why that endcall+1+# doesn’t show up?

I will really appreciate if you can help me please.

I am attaching 2 photos of the commands I get and the Android stereo I installed. but one another photo I show you, I have written in RED, that is what I need the command to get to that HW setting to select AUX.

I think I have a similar issue here. I can see the carplay in the engineer mode but it is not active. I have GLA 2015. Do I need this dongle?

Why I can't get this Engineering mode?

Because that's NTG4.5/4.7

The dongles don't work on the last few releases of the software for the head-unit and if you want a bug-free experience then you need the more recent firmware. Talk to comandonline.co.uk about having it done properly (licence purchased, Datacard updated, firmware updated etc, appropriate hardware changes if needed).
