Would be nicer without the outline of white on black.
The backlight could come through the black lettering if it was tinted plastic, so at night, the letters are all white light, during the day it would be black like dark window tints.
They look OK on the right type of car but there is no way they are UK legal even with rear plate lamps left in.
Tampering with a number plate is a criminal act as is not showing one that passes the (strict) size/colour guidelines laid down by our wonderful lawmakers.
Having NO plates on your car is LESS of an offence than tampering with them. Google it.
From £220 , no thank you there are better things to with the cash.
Sometimes less is definitely more, once you have fitted your light up plate , logo puddle lights and illuminated star on the front grill what`s next the full Tron pack ?
That and other things make them illegal, just as I have pointed out to the noisy bloke at my local pub who drives a (decidedly average) BMW and insists his pressed metal (raised digit) number plates are legal because they are the right colour !
Luckily for him Plod round where we live are busy with more pressing matters. Only a matter of time though..
