BANG goes my front spring - 2005 s211

Coming down the slip road to the A1 - huge bang from front drivers side. Wheel dropped into the arch - not really driveable (especially as I'm 200 miles from home). Waiting for the AA.
Bought the car from MB main dealer 4 months ago - are springs covered under mb used warranties?

Yes they are covered. Get both done and insist on it!

Dads went while he was in France, he drove back to UK @ 55 mph... and nearly 60mpg

Looked like a drag car as he pulled outside our house couln't even turn on full lock. He thinks as they had so much weight in the back it drove fine on the way back, once the weight was out it was a bit different

I'd ditch the OEM and get a set of Eibachs pro-kit, they are allot better!

The springs on the early w211's tend to rust and I think that's why they snap.

I just bought a set for my M3 and also I had them on my previous 2004 W211, they are great and you get more or less the same ride as the OEM springs maybe slighly firmer!

What about the face lifted 2006 W211?
