2001 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG Auto Silver on eBay (end time 22-Jul-10 15:22:44 BST)

Got some rust on the front wings by the looks of it but still a bargain at that price.

I don't get hung up with the amount of owners, there are far more important things like S/history, overall condition etc.

You can tell if a car has had a rough life straight away. My SL has had 7 previous keepers too but you would never know, its virtually mint.

I'm amazed that for a car that's only covered 62k the driver's seat looks more worn than in my car which has covered 185k...!!!

My E55 has xenons but didn't have PDC, got rear PDC fitted on my car.

Looks like it has rear parking sensors.

Seat looks very worn and quite dirty. Maybe dead pixels on the temp display...or does that only come on when the ignition is on??

7 owners wouldn't worry me either. Gas guzzlers tend to go from keeper to keeper.

Yes, bought it. Not sure about Xenons, not a big thing for me, how do you tell? Has rear parking sensors and yes, the usual little bit of rust on the front wing. Leather is a bit grubby but not too bad and the pixels need sorting but it drives beautifully and is very tight. Sorry Harry but couldn't face 185k. Was going to check spec on Russian site but it seems to be down. SRS badge was in cubbyhole. Back on now!

Congrats, nice car, hope you enjoy it!

If it's got Xenons they will be much whiter than standard headlights, plus there will be a warning sticker by each headlamp about the high voltage. Also it wont have the adjuster wheel beside the headlight switch as they are self levelling.

Thanks. I have the leveller wheel so no xenons but not a problem for me. Very pleased with it. Just need to sort the usual little bits and pieces you get with any different/new car.
