Hi,
Go for the 019, as that is the standard battery for my 202 AMG, I have also fitted one this size to my 202 C230K, so shouldn't be a problem in your 202 C250TD.

There is little, if anything to be gained in using an AGM battery on your car.
AGM batteries are good for stop/start systems, vehicles that are left for long periods, and motorcycles. Ideally, the charging system should 'match' their charging characteristics.

Personally I would go with a good name (Bosch, Varta etc), good CCA, as yours is a diesel, and a good capacity in terms of Ah.
Contrary to popular opinion, you can't have too high a capacity battery. Whatever fits your battery tray and wallet will be the correct one.

You can get the top of the range varta silver battery which is the same as the Bosch s5, 019 100Ah on ebay for £85 delivered.

Check your alternator is "up to the mark" output wise at the same time. A big silver VARTA should fit the bill. After all they make em for Bosch!

As previously mentioned. You want a Varta or a Bosch battery for trouble free diesel motoring. That's all I would use on my big diesels!

I did have a good few years service from a Hella battery but it came with the vehicle and I never found a local supplier for them!

Don't go near a Banner or anything like that!

I'd go with varta any time.
Go for AGM if you do lot of short journeys as well as it takes the charge quicker as well.

Thanks everyone, replacement battery now sorted.

While I have your attention, is there a way to measure how much life is left in a battery?

Charge to full and use a load tester.
