battery getting warm while on tickle?

Why fit a MAF from a CDI and why angle it, both those things will make it read less.

just because I was giving one.
It work better on a slight angle, not sure if it will read less or more as its cooled in a diiferent way?
Also with the AIT resistor, maybe I was/ am running too rich? Then the angle put it back on a good mix...
tinkering tinkering...

That's too much.

Re the 13.8volts ... That is while on charge.

Hi,
is it OK for a 12V car battery to get warm on tickle charge ? Its about 30 to 31 degres centigrade on the side.
When I recharge the little AAA toys battery, they do get really hot, then I hope it is OK too for a car battery, or its not suppose to be?
Cheers.

Thats quite normal. We all get hot when tickled in the right place.

That's too much.

Fully charge the battery, leave to stand fro 24Hrs then measure with only light load on. It should read 12.5v if good.

Another test is to use the starter motor for 15 seconds and check the voltage under cranking. If it drops below 9v the battery is toast.

I should have say that sometimes when I crank it to start I got the BAS light on, meaning low battery. This mean its not healthy :(
I got 2 batteries like this.

I think I need more then that ;)
but yep, a new battery would be good too ...

charging battery #2.
defenitly the other was getting too hot as this one is cool...
the cool one is a regular battery with "wet"cell while the hot one is a VRLA genuine mercedes battery, both are 95 Ah. The VRLA is in the car now...

I sold the battery out of my wreck.
It's now powering a fork-lift-truck in Bradford.
