Hi there,

I just bought an E350, and I think it could probably use a new battery. It had been sitting on the dealers forecourt for some time, and when I picked it up, it had the 'convenience features not available' message.

Question is, which battery do you guys recommend? On the GSF site it recommends the Vetech 95 Ah, which at around £95 seems reasonable.

In fact, I just tried the 'Sale33' promo code with somebody posted on the forum, and it's reduced the price by 33% to a very reasonable £62!

So any reason not to buy Vetech, or should I get Bosch?

Try your dealership for price. Mine was very competitive, including fitting. Guaranteed the correct type/spec and 2yr warranty.

if the convenience message does not reappear, no need to change battery.

Could somebody confirm the battery required for the W211 E350 please? I believe it's the 95Ah 019, from Bosch or Varta.

Also is it a good idea to upgrade it to 100 Ah?

Would have been fitted at factory if it were required.

Stick with the specified battery from MB

No significant benefit to going from 95ah to 100ah but won't hurt either.

Thanks guys, can anybody just confirm that I'm looking at the right batteries? I don't want it to turn up and not fit. Don't have the car with me at the moment to look for myself.
