Hi I was wondering if anyone knew what the voltage should be when the engine is running? I am getting 14.5v running , 12.4 with just ignition on but noticed it dropped to 10.6 when the engine was cranked over . Any help appreciated

my offside door switches have no power for the windows or remote boot release. Mirror fold is also not working so checked fuses etc but came to the conclusion it was door control module, so have ordered one from main dealers went out to move the car yesterday but wouldn't start so now I am wondering if my problem is the battery not the module? I have now charged the battery and am getting the above figures . But still nothing on drivers door switches

When you say it wouldn't start was the battery completely dead

It maybe that the door control is draining the battery. Might be worth disconnecting it completely and then see if it affects the battery afterwards

No it wasn't completely dead was cranking slowly but wouldn't fire up then analogue clock started to go crazy running backwards then starter solenoid was just clicking, when I reconnected the battery after charging the rear windows dropped approx 2" but I can't get them back up as the drivers window switches don't work only the passenger front window switch works

Voltage is only a very basic test. The battery need to be tested under load using a battery tester - Halfords used to carry-out these tests for free, they may still do.
