I'm in Reigate and on the way here I hit a big piece of steel on the M25.
Moments after posting the above, I went back to the RR and it wouldn't start.
I knew I had battery problems (a few faults relating to gearbox and HDC have appeared in the last few weeks) but didn't have time to get one of these today. LINK.
I was going to ask Ollie to test the battery, but the RAC man who has just left, confirmed it's a duffer. It's the original Land Rover Varta battery, so has lasted incredibly well.
I didn't expect to have a flat battery after 235 miles of driving, though!
I'm currently annoying the residents at the hotel by getting some charge into the battery to be ready for setting off to PCS in the morning.
If it won't start in the morning, the RAC (because they didn't have the correct replacement battery on board) will come out again to jump it.

A bit damp in Horndean this morning, seems to have rained a bit overnight.
Hopefully it'll brighten up as the day goes on...

It may rain abit down that way at around 12.14 though, but hopefully not.

That was my first MB event and I really liked it. Highlights: meeting folks from the forums, seeing the variety of interesting and well-presented cars and all in good weather Oh and the Stuttgartian food .

and the weather was brilliant
I even managed to hitch a ride in Andys car, at the head of the drive out Seeing all the cars in the mirror was pretty cool.
Mine seemed to be the only A Class there! Benny, you let the side down
It's a shame there's nowhere to clean the cars there, as it got pretty dirty in the drizzle prior. I know that space is at a premium, but maybe a hose and a dedicated place somewhere would be an idea?
All in all, a very enjoyable day. Thanks to Ollie, Natacha and the rest of the team at PCS. Hopefully it grows form year to year.
